The shopping focus of the Waterfront is Victoria Wharf, an enormous flashy mall on two levels, extending along Quays Five and Six.
It's here that most visitors to the Waterfront arrive.
With outdoor seating, the restaurants and cafés on the mall's east side have fabulous views across the busy harbour to Table Mountain.

Along the Alfred Basin's North Quay, Alfred Mall Shopping Centre is a complex of touristy curio shops, boutiques and restaurants.
East of the Alfred Shopping Mall, the Pierhead is dominated by the Old Port Captain's Office, a gabled Arts and Crafts building erected in 1904, with an imposing presence that reflects its status as the nerve centre of the harbour in the early twentieth century.
